• 2017-18 School Choice entrance criteria

    All principals and assistant principals
Please note the recent update affecting composite scores for the 2017-18 school choice entrance criteria. Specifically, if students have both spring 2016 PARCC scores and beginning-of-the-year 2016 i-Ready scores, students will receive the benefit for the higher of the two scores that will be used in their composite scoring. For students in grades 5 and 8 that do not have PARCC scores, i-Ready scores will be used.

Charter schools that have not purchased i-Ready will be provided the opportunity for their students in grades 5 and 8 to take the i-Ready assessment at no additional cost to the school. The Achievement and Accountability Office will work with these schools to have this testing completed by Friday, October 14. Students will be tested once within the assessment window and there will be no retesting. Please review the i-Ready Teacher User Guide to get started.

Please note that for the following year, only 2017 PARCC scores will be used in the 2018-19 school choice process.
