We have completed another year of successful teaching
and learning at Dunbar High School. Our success did
not come easily. We overcame some unique challenges
this school year and we are prepared to move forward
into the new school year. One of the expectations we have
set for our students in the new school year is that they
will be required to wear the uniform each day they are
present in school. The school uniform policy is
non-negotiable. It is mandatory for every Dunbar student
to wear the school uniform starting the first day of school
(August 29, 2011).
I want to thank you for supporting the uniform policy.
Let’s work with our students to enforce the policy each school
day. I am confident that the uniform policy will help contribute
to better teaching and learning environment at Dunbar.
I must also inform you that there will be consequences
if a student does not wear his/her uniform to school. Let’s work
with our students to enforce the policy each school day. I am
confident that the uniform policy will help contribute to better
teaching and learning environment at Dunbar. Let’s work together
to minimize the consequences and maximize academic learning time
for our students.
