Dear Parents and the James McHenry family,
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. We will be learning and growing each day and it is our hope that we build strong children to become global leaders. Our staff has been resting and learning new professional topics over the summer in preparation for receiving your children on August 29, 2016. I would like you to know that as a family and a village we must all work to ensure children get what they need to succeed so if you have questions, suggestions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school. As always, I encourage families to set goals with their children for this year that will positively impact their academic and social growth.
Starting this schoolyear we will have additional resources for you and your children as we are a Community School and we are working with both the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus (School of Social Work) and the Family League of Baltimore. These organizations have contributed a substantial amount of resources to support the mission and vision of James McHenry Elementary Middle Community School. They are a partner at the school to ensure great outcomes for the students.
I look forward to seeing everyone on August 29th for the start of a great school year.
