BeWell. It's a simple statement, but it says it all: City Schools wants you, our employees and most vital assets, to BeWell. Without you well and strong, we cannot build an entire system of great schools for all of our great kids.
What to look forward to the 2012-13 school year:
- Continuation of another BeWell "all year" challenge (employees earn points towards a reduction in their medical premium) - more details and registration coming soon.
- Another "movement" challenge. This year the prizes are big - $24,000 will be given away to three winning teams to a school of their choice to be used towards a wellness project they choose. and yes - the movement challenge will earn points in the all year challenge.
The kickoff for the movement challenge was on Saturday, October 6 - in conjuction with the StepOut Walk to stop Diabetes. The weather was gorgeous and there were 1700 people that participated. Hope you were one of them!
Seminars and fitness classes
Check out the "Register for BeWell classes" section for more details. And yes - the classes earn you points in the all year challenge.
Congratulations to all for taking steps to improve your health & welfare and BeWell in the 2011/12 school year. We are proud to say that almost half of City Schools' organizations participated in some form of BeWell activity last school year.
