Those long dog days of summer, are perfect for relaxing in a pool. Spending time with family and friends at a theme park. And enjoying a break from the rigors of school. Unfortunately, those long summer days are also a time when students lose about two months of grade level equivalency in math and reading over summer break (Cooper, 1996). And if you talk to most parents they find it difficult to keep their students engaged over summer break.
