The Community School's Vision:
Frederick Douglass High School is a leading public high school where our belief is that all scholars can learn. As a community school, we offer high level, rigorous programs that challenge and engage our scholars and provide then with a solid foundation to pursue higher education or rewarding careers. With our influence, a positive culture in the community will emerge, where it is pleasant to live, work and study. We will support scholars on their journey to become self-motivated learners capable of strategic problem solving, effective decision making and ignite a passion in them to become life-long learners so they can compete on a global level. This successful model will be replicated for students, families and the greater community.
