• About Us

As a premier neighborhood public school, Federal Hill Preparatory School is on the leading edge of elementary education in the digital age offering a state of the art library facility, a new computer lab and computer programming classes for grades 4 and 5.  The new STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) curriculum has been redesigned in collaboration with Digital Harbor Foundation, home of Maker Camp and Nanolab.  And Federal Hill Prep is one of nine public schools with a Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program with differentiated instruction and enrichment activities for advanced students.

    • We are a culturally diverse neighborhood school striving to create innovative programs to better serve the community.

    • We offer an innovative integration of all core subjects via a project based approach to learning.
    • We strive to offer learning opportunities for our entire community.  From our Discover with Me and Let’s Grow (3 year old and pre-K inclusion programs), our Title 1 programming for low income students striving to learn, and our BCPS officially recognized Gifted and Advanced Learners program, there is individualized learning for all our students.

    • We feature an enhanced physical environment that supports our arts integration program and belief in a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing learning space.
