Reading: This unit has been about cultures around the world. We have readabout many different cultures and have learned lots of interesting facts aboutthe cultures. Reading A-Z books have also been sent home. Please be readingthese books with your student each night.
Writing:Students have started their research on a famous person for their informationalnarratives. After break they will begin drafting their biographies using thenotes they have taken during their research.
LunchBunch: Each day three students are chosen to eat lunch with mein the classroom. This is being used as an incentive to follow classroom andschool rules as well as a way to get to know your child in a one on oneenvironment.
Tutoring: Studentscan stay after school most Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00-3:45 if they arein need of extra reading assistance. If you are interested in having your childwork in small group setting using specific skills, please send a note allowingthem to stay and confirming pick up.
