• My name is Mrs. Parker and I am the 3rd grade reading teacher at Curtis Bay Elementary Middle School.  Ms. Turnbull is my partner this year, teaching math, science, social studies, and health.  This will be an exciting year for us!  We have a lot to accomplish this year as we prepare our students to take the Maryland School Assessment this spring.
The 3rd grade team will be working collaboratively to ensure that all of our students are successful this year.  You can help us!  Please make every effort to have your child attend school daily and on time, dressed in their navy blue and white uniforms.  Homework will be given nightly, Monday through Thursday, and needs to be turned in the next school day.  Please check your child’s homework each night to make sure that it is completed correctly.  All children should also be reading each evening for at least 15 minutes for 100 Book Challenge.  Occasionally, we will assign a weekend project, though sufficient notice will be given.

It is expected that your child come to school prepared with all of his or her supplies, ready to learn.  We need students to be on their best behavior at all times, showing respect to those with whom they come into contact.
The 3rd grade team is ready and willing to work with you.  Please feel free to contact us if you would like a conference, but please be reminded that we need to be instructing your children during school hours.

    Here’s to a wonderful 2012 – 2013 school year!
