• General Information

Holabird Academy is a Pre-K-8 community school located in Southeast Baltimore City.  We are committed to providing high quality, rigorous programming that prepares all students for criterion-based high schools, as well as for the colleges and careers of their choice.
At Holabird Academy, we are committed to the belief that engaging families as partners is essential to developing life-long learners who are resilient, compassionate, and globally aware.  We are committed to preparing students for the 21st Century by not only equipping them with the academic and technological skills needed, but also with the capacity for empathy, compassion, responsibility, and resilience.
Over the next two years, Holabird Academy will experience a number of upgrades and improvements including ultimately transitioning into a brand new Net Zero school building. Net Zero schools produce as much energy as they consume.  Too offset their energy consumption, Net Zero schools have solar panels and utilize geothermic wells for heating and cooling to reduce overall energy consumption.  As we transition into a sustainable school, it is important that our students, staff, families, and community understand sustainability and commit to being a sustainable school.  Students will have opportunities throughout their experience at Holabird to have authentic opportunities to learn about sustainability and conservation.
