What Is The School Family Council?The School Family Council (SFC); formerly known as The School Improvement Team, is the umbrella under which all sub-committees fall or are driven by. The goal of the School Family Council is to bridge the gap between established standards and current levels of achievement in their student body. Members of the council are charged with the task of recommending strategies to (1.) improve attendance, (2.) increase parent/community/family involvement in school’s day-to-day operations, (3.) maintain a healthy productive school climate with decreased occurrences of suspension, (4) set the tone for positive moral amongst staff…..all in an effort to increase student achievement and provide youngsters with a quality educational experience.Currently the School Family Council meets every 4th Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
