Dear Scholars and Parents:
It is with great excitement and pleasure that I welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! It has been such an honor serving this community for the past seven years. I am pleased with the academic growth scholars have made and I look forward to pushing them to move beyond their own expectations. This is going to be a great year of partnership and exploration. We are excited to announce that we were approved for our School Based Option proposal. Students will now have a half day one Friday a month for teacher professional development. We will also partner with the YMCA and host an afterschool Science Engineering Arts Mathematic and Technology program for scholars in grades four through eight.
On Friday, September 01, 2017, at 4:30 p.m., we will have a brief school meeting to discuss updates to the 2017-2018 school year. We will host our annual “Sneak a Peek at Your Seat” from 5:00-6:30 directly following the meeting. Parents and scholars will be able to meet their new teacher and take a peek at their new classrooms. A representative from the YMCA will be here to register scholars for the afterschool program.
We have new school uniform colors for the 2017-2018 school year. We hope that the new darker colors will increase the longevity of your scholars’ uniform wear. We look forward to seeing all of our scholars dressed neatly every day.
