    June 7th: Graduation Rehearsal 1-3


    June 8th: Graduation 5pm-7pm







    Welcome to your final year of high school! The senior year is a busy, strenuous but exciting year. You all have put in a lot of work to get to this momentous point, but the work does not stop here. While the Dunbar 2018 Senior Class is studying hard and striving to be the best they can be, there are two Dunbar Staff members who have stepped up to support and motivate this Dunbar 2018 Senior Class. The Senior Class Advisors are Mr. Remy and Ms. Caballes . Our plan is to work with the Senior Class Officers, the PLDHS Administration, and the Senior Class families to make this last memorable time in high school the best it can be. Below are the major activities planned and dues needed to carry them out. Class dues for the senior year are integral to the planning of events and early reservation of facilities.



    Please, we ask for your support in any way you can to ensure that the dues are paid in a timely manner.

    The Senior Class dues can be paid through the following installments:

    All dues can be paid in advance. The absolute last payment to be accepted will be on Friday, February 16, 2018. Lots of planning goes into the implementation of class events and activities. It is integral that payments are made on time so that locations, vendors, decorations, etc. can be secured in a timely manner. These dues must be paid in cash or with a money order and given to Mrs. Caballes and or Mr. Remy by the due dates to ensure participation in all events. Mrs. Caballes and Mr. Remy will inform students of payment locations which will occur before or after school. Receipts will be provided to all students and or parents for every payment.


    Fundraisers sponsored by the senior class throughout the year will help to supplement other events such as transportation for Cultural Enrichment Events, Community Service Trips, Senior Week Decorations, etc. More information will follow.

    As other opportunities arise, hopefully the Senior Class can take part in other activities or events to help make this school year a successful and fulfilling one. Dunbar High School leadership encourages all students and families to become familiar with the Baltimore City Public Schools Code of Conduct. It is expected that every member of the Senior Class maintain his or her grades and model excellent school citizenship while adhering to the Code of Conduct. Seniors are also expected to take the SAT and the ACT at least twice this school year, and they must have completed all 75 Student Service Learning hours that are required for high school graduation by December 16, 2017. More information regarding assistance in meeting these two goals will be provided in the near future from the Class Guidance Counselor. Failure to earnestly meet these expectations can impact participation in school wide events. As one of the school mottos states-Failure is Not an Option!

All Senior Class advisors have primary professional responsibilities as staff members here at Dunbar and respectfully ask that if you would like to meet in person that it take place by appointment or before or after school (during noninstructional time) hours. We welcome and appreciate your assistance at any one of the activities. The Class also runs a twitter account that will have updates and reminders posted as well.


    Parent Communication Registration


    In order to ensure timely dissemination of important senior class related information, we are asking that at least one guardian from every member of the class of 2018 complete either an online or paper registration form. The paper forms will be available at the Back to School Night / Senior Event Information Meeting. You may also complete the registration form at http://tinyurl.com/Dunbar2017Guardian by Friday, September 29, 2017.


    Please see the dates below for other important senior dates regarding the College Bound Process via our College Access Program Specialist and other academic related dates and times. Mr. Coleman is the class contact for FAFSA information as well as college application process information.
