Welcome to the Finance Department

Finance Dept

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall fiscal condition of the school system. This is achieved through the implementation and consistent application of sound management practices and controls, including, but not limited to, financial reporting and analysis, cash flow, debt management, hiring controls, budget adjustments, procurement requests, grant management, and technology.

The CFO’s organization has the following departments reporting to it: Financial Analysis (Accounting and Budget), Accounts Receivable, Cash Management (Treasury), Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Information Technology, Grants Management, and Third Party Billing.

In a school system with revenues in excess of $1 billion, stringent accounting safeguards are practiced to ensure that funds are spent thoughtfully, responsibly, effectively, and ethically.
