The Office of Parent Involvement and School, Family, Community Connections invites and supports community participation in strengthening initiatives to improve schools and provide increased opportunities for academic and social growth for students in school communities city-wide.  BCPSS recognizes the value of active citizen engagement to the overall well-being of Baltimore City’s schools and neighborhoods and welcomes the expertise, passion and commitment of community members in an ongoing effort to provide quality public education to all children.  BCPSS actively solicits input and participation from all communities and is committed to recruiting and sustaining community participation in public forums, trainings, and other initiatives designed to encourage community engagement.

There are many ways of showing your commitment to, and your interest in, the public school system. Having community members involved in the school system, not only improves the lives of children, but also strengthens the community, and, improves the quality of life in Baltimore.
