Reasons to choose
the Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS)  to begin or continue your career in education:

 

  • Tuition reimbursement ranging up to 50 to 100% for all education related coursework at any local college or university with no limit on the number of credits or per credit course. (budget depending)

  • 4 placement steps credit on the salary scale for Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) professionally certified teachers or teachers who meet all eligibility criteria for an MSDE professional certificate.
  • 6 placement steps credit on the salary scale for teachers who completed their student teaching with the BCPSS and who choose to begin their teaching career with BCPSS upon graduation.

  • $1000 MSDE bonus for first time teachers with a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
  • $4000 annual stipend for nationally board certified teachers.

  • Access to closed membership in the Municipal Employees Credit Union.
