Countdown to the Last Day of School

• For high school seniors (students in 12th grade), the final exam window is May 15 to 22, 2013; the last day of school is May 22. (High school teachers submit final grades for seniors by May 24.) The window for high school graduation ceremonies is May 31 to June 2. (See information about graduation ceremonies.)
• For students in grades 9 to 11, final exams take place on June 7, 10 and 11; the instructional day on these dates is 3.5 hours.
• For elementary, elementary/middle and middle school students, closing exercises take place between June 10 and 12. (See information about closing activities.)
• For students from pre-k to grade 11, the last day of school is June 12 (because the district closed for four "snow days" due to inclement weather)
• For teachers, the last day of work is June 17 (teachers have professional development on June 13, 14 and 17)

Exception 1: Teachers and students at schools with intersession calendars may have different schedules for the last day of school and summer vacation.

Exception 2: The last day for teachers at schools that elected "school-based options" is shown in the table below. Students at these schools finish on June 12.
