Participating Schools and Specialty Programs:

Woodbourne Center - Video Production Program

  • Provides student with practical experience and theory in the field of video productions
  • Curriculum focuses on learning the parts, functions, and operation of a basic video camera and field and student production execution

Reading Enhancement Tutorial Program

  • Complements the regular and vocational program
  • Utilizes vocational content to help students with reading, writing, and spelling.

Maryland Youth Residence Center - Drug Education Program

  • Educates students about the impact of drugs on the human body
  • Focuses on providing insights that will deter students from continued drug use and focus on academic success

Eager Street Academy/ Baltimore City Detention Center - Computer Aided Remediation Program

  • Provides basic computer theory and instruction on how to use application software as tools for employment opportunity
  • Enhances the student’s ability to complete high school and/or obtain gainful employment

GED Program

  • Provides support for students considering dropping out of school rather than completing the requirements necessary to obtain a high school degree
  • Culminates in an examination preparing students to be eligible to receive the State High School Diploma

Woodbourne School

  • A non-Public representative works with Woodbourne School to develop IEP’s and monitor progress 
  • Progress is measured through state required assessments, educational assessments, quarterly progress reports, and report cards

Florence Crittenton Services - The Mill School Reading Program

  • Provides reading resource to all residents

Boys Home Society of Baltimore

  • Provides supplemental instruction in basic and advanced skills in reading, mathematics, and English

Mount Clare House - Substance Abuse Prevention Program

  • Focuses on prevention and pre-treatment issues that are critical in developing and understanding chemical dependency.
  • Meets state Substance Abuse Standards with a focus on prevention and management of compulsive and addictive behaviors
