Certification Information

Mission statement:

The Office of Certification acts as a liaison in requesting and approving certificates for teachers, specialists, and administrators according to state regulations. 

Overview of Department:

  1. Collects and sends required documents to the state to support requests and approvals of certificates.
  2. Provides counseling and information about requirements for initial certificates, endorsements, and renewals.
  3. Completes the self-reporting process of the No Child Left Behind Report related to teachers whose classes are taught by those who are “highly qualified.”
  4. Arranges tuition and Praxis reimbursements.
  5. Initiates salary changes for those who meet educational requirements.
