Steps to Apply for Free or Reduced Meals

  1. Applications are sent home at the beginning of the school year. Students or families can also pick up a blank application at any BCPSS school or from the Nutrition Services Department (see address below). One application should be filled out for each household.
  2.  Once all household members are listed and the application completed and signed by the parent or guardian, the youngest child should bring the application back to school. Completed applications may also be mailed to the Nutrition Services Department.
  3. Once at the Nutrition Services Department, the information is then entered into the meal application system for eligibility determination.
  4. An Action Notification is sent out to the parent notifying them of the eligibility of their application.
