Jim Campbell

Jim Campbell

Jim Campbell is currently employed as the School and Community Outreach Coordinator for the Johns Hopkins University. In that role, he develops marketing strategies for graduate teacher preparation and development programs and also serves as the education representative to The Greater Baltimore Committee.

As a member of the House of Delegates to the Maryland General Assembly from 1978 - 2002, he represented the citizens of Baltimore City. During that entire time period, Mr. Campbell served as the Educational Subcommittee Chair to the House Ways and Means Committee. In that capacity he created and drafted legislation that resulted in key initiatives in Maryland public education. He was instrumental in reviewing and approving education policy for the State.

Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Baltimore and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Maryland. He has also served as the education chair to the Hampden Community Council, the President of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Central Maryland, and a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
