Student Achievement and Status of Master Plan Priorities


The BCPSS Master Plan 2006-2008, in accordance with State guidelines, provides the core of the school system's plans for improving the academic achievement of all students. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) goals, which reflect the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), are the organizing elements on which the BCPSS Master Plan 2006-2008 is based
The following sections include analyses of students achievement and status reports of the strategies being implemented to accelerate student achievement.

Goal 1: By 2013-1014, all students will reach high standards, at a minimum attaining proficiency or better in reading/language arts, and mathematics.

 Goal 3: By 2005-2006, all core academic subject classes (CAS) will be taught by highly qualified teachers
