Minority and Woman-Owned Business (MBE/WBE) Programs
Baltimore City Public School System- Procurement & Materials Management has a minority and women business enterprise liaison to administer the MBE and WBE policies and standard operating procedures for procuring commodities, supplies, services, maintenance, architecture/engineering, and construction following the State of Maryland and City of Baltimore Legislation.
The Liaison will:
- Establish goals
- Design and develop outreach programs
- Provide internal training
- Review data
- Monitor MBE and WBE program compliance
- Evaluate contractor’s minority participation submission for
approval

The Baltimore City Public School System welcomes minority and women business enterprises to participate on all contract opportunities. Certification is required to participate as subcontractor. Certification is not required to bid on projects or to supply goods and services as a prime bidder.
