The Office of Parent Involvement and School, Family,
Community Connections continues to develop and implement
systemic and school-based strategies and programs that promote a more responsive and inviting school climate to increase the level and efficacy of
parent involvement. The Baltimore City Public School System believes that family and community engagement is essential to student success. Research documents the positive effect of parent
involvement on the lives of students. Students who feel supported and encouraged by their families are more likely to be successful. Families are invited, encouraged and supported in their efforts to become fully engaged in the education of their children.
The support that each of you provides, and the interest
that you show to children in your care, in your neighborhood,
