  • Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the Empowerment Academy for the 2017-2018 School Year! I am excited to start a new year at the Empowerment Academy to ensure that your student receives the best education program possible. Our dedicated staff is preparing a wonderful school year to meet the needs of all our students and to partner with families.

We invite you to become an active participant and partner in our school community by contributing through a number of ways: You can join our PTO to assume a leadership role or become a general member, you can volunteer in your child’s classroom, or you can donate your time in other capacities such as school beautification. The research clearly supports that a child’s success is strongly attributed to their parent’s involvement and investment in their child’s education. As you can see, we value your partnership in creating and cultivating a nurturing learning environment for your child.

We truly believe that open communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the children of The Empowerment Academy. Providing a great education for our students is the result of a successful partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community. All children are more successful when we, as a school community, all work together to achieve our educational goals.

Attached is a list of important reminders and dates, especially pertaining to our early dismissal professional development days that are held every month.

Should you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kindest Regards,

    Mrs. Ashley L. Moore
