Our Principal: Mr. Nicholas D'AmbrosioThis is Nicholas D’Ambrosio’s third year as principal of Roland Park Elementary and Middle School (RPEMS). His entire career has been spent in Baltimore City Public Schools. He is known to students as “Coach D” or “Mr. D,” and began his career as a Physical Education teacher in three elementary and middle schools. He was quickly promoted to assistant principal at RPEMS, then became principal at Frances Scott Key before finally returning home at RPEMS.
Mr. D holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Loyola University in Maryland with concentrations in Administration and Supervision and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education, cum laude, from Salisbury State University. Mr. D has worked diligently with parents and staff to develop and implement an RPEMS Five Year Plan, designed to improve curriculum and instruction, school climate, and facilities and technology.
Mr. D is married with two preschool-age children. He continues to mentor teachers, teach at local colleges, and frequently, you’ll find him helping instill crucial social, academic, and athletic values in students.
