We are located slightly east of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Southeast Baltimore.
We currently have 654 students on roll ranging from grades pre-kindergarten through eight.
John Ruhrah Elementary/Middle School serves one of the largest bilingual populations in Baltimore City Public Schools, with students representing 14 different countries speaking 10 different languages.
The school has a citywide special education program called PAL, designed to meet the needs of students with autism in grades 1-5.
John Ruhrah Elementary/Middle School has been identified as a Schoolwide Title I School for the 2012-2013 school year.
