    Goal #1

    Goal I (TRC)- Growth

    20% of students reading below proficienct (yellow students) on the BOY TRC assessment will perform at or above
    proficiency on the EOY TRC administered in May 2015.
    Family Involvement Strategy #1
    1. Teachers will create home lending library letters and packets for students to take home; parents read for at least 30 minutes each evening with their children and ask their children to respond orally and in writing to text-dependent questions; Families are provided with home lending libraries
     
    2. Teachers use the mClass home connect communication. Teachers print the reports and share them with students and parents; the reports will be reviewed during student-led conferences and student-teacher goal setting and review conferences
    3. Teachers engage families in student-led conferences around literacy achievement goals

    4. Families participate in literacy events that focus on reading complex text and asking their children to respond to text-dependent questions; Teachers will prepare monthly complex text packets for families to read at home with children (to include questions and exemplary responses); parents will engage the children in the work at home; teachers will have parents sign and return packets and analyze rate of return; the work will be discussed in Parent Power Hour and by the SFC Student Achievement Committee.

    MATHEMATICS

     Family Involvement Strategy #1

     

    1. Parents participate in math fluency and operations and algebraic thinking make and take sessions.

    2. Parents will read and practice strategies shared in monthly mathematics newsletters that will be sent home

    3. Teachers engage families in student-led conferences around literacy achievement goals

    4. Parent Action Teams will interview, onboard and assign parent math tutors for students in grades 3-5, with a

    specific emphasis on automaticity.
     
    CLIMATE GOALThe percentage of students who state that fighting is not a problem in our school will increase by 30% as measured

    by the City Schools’ climate survey.

    Family Involvement Strategy #1

    1.  Parent Action Teams select parents to serve as Hope Academy Mentors

    2. Parents of students who choose fighting as a means to resolve conflict are engaged in community

    conferencing3. Parents of students who choose fighting as a means to resolve conflict are referred to related service

    providers for family support and are engaged in quarterly Code of Conduct reviews (If related service

    providers provide conflict resolution services, then...)

    4. Parents of students who are Eagle Code Superstars are honored at a quarterly ceremony (If parents

    participate in Eagle Code Superstars, then what?)

    5. Families are engaged in the SST process.

    Goal #4

    Parent Action Team Leaders collaborate to increase Family and Community Engagement from 25%- 40% as

    indicated by FCE and SFC SANE documentation.
