MTA information and student passes for 2017-18Middle and high school principals
As in previous years, all middle and high school students can ride the MTA to and from school during the first week, September 5 to 8. Students simply need to show their City Schools ID or inform the driver that they are students. S-Passes should be distributed to transportation-eligible middle and high school students during the first week of school, for use beginning Monday, September 11.
During late September and October, the district will transition to One Cards, new student IDs for use on MTA buses, subways, and light rail. One Cards are valid from Monday to Friday between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (except when schools are closed for holidays or teacher professional days). Each One Card provides a student with four 120-minute trips each day.
This informational flyer with frequently asked questions about the One Card and MTA travel is available to download for distribution to students and families.
Reminder: With the launch of BaltimoreLink, most MTA routes have changed. Please direct staff, students, and families to https://mta.maryland.gov/schools or http://mta.maryland.gov/baltimorelink for route information or to the MTA at 410-539-5000.
