    Elementary and middle school principals and assistant principals / Deadline: September 7

    Foundations of Science Leadership is a professional development course focused on effective practices of teaching science in kindergarten through grade 8, including instructional shifts under the Next Generation Science Standards. The course takes place on Thursdays from September 14 through November 16, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Callaway Elementary School (3701 Fernhill Ave.) and participants’ locations. It is designed for instructional leaders, including elementary/middle school principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches, lead teachers, and any staff members who support science instruction. Participants can earn Maryland State Department of Education continuing professional development (CPD) credit (achievement and leadership units are pending approval).

    Online registration is open through Thursday, September 7.
