     Step 2: Make your plan

    • When's the first day? Most schools start on Tuesday, September 4, but a few start earlier or later. Check out the calendar to find out what's ahead. New: Seven half-days for students!

    • What time does school start? Find your school's bell schedule. Remember: All students can eat breakfast for free at school, so plan to arrive a little early!

    • What's your route? Learn more about district-provided transportation.

    • Take the MTA to get to school? Map your BaltimoreLink route link opens new browser window. You can use the MTA to get to and from school on the first day by showing your ID or telling the bus driver that you are a City Schools student.

     Step 3: Get organized

    • Get any immunizations you're missing and find out about free clinics. Students can't attend school without an up-to-date immunization record.

    • Get your school supplies: Check with your school about any specific things you'll need this year.

    • Get your uniform: Find out about your school's uniform, and contact your school if you need help to buy what you need.

    • Get a preview of the back-to-school information packets: Check out the annual Code of Conduct, Family Guide, and Family Calendar along with important forms.

Step 4: Get ready for a great year!
