• Request for HSA graduation requirement waiver

High school principals and assistant principals / Deadline: April 28

Requests for a waiver of the High School Assessment graduation requirement are being accepted through Friday, April 28. COMAR states that principals should consider recommending a waiver for students who meet explicit criteria.
According to the state process, once requests are received, the local superintendent reviews each recommendation and grants or denies the waiver, ensuring that the student and his/her parent or guardian are notified promptly of the decision. If the waiver is granted, notification also includes requirements and procedures for a diploma to be awarded.
