T-dap and meningococcal vaccinesPrincipals and assistant principals of schools serving middle grades / Deadline: April 3
Sixth-grade students who are in compliance with immunizations could fall out of compliance next year if they do not receive the required T-dap and meningococcal vaccinations before entering 7th grade. This means not only could these students be at risk for contracting these diseases, but they could also be excluded from school in the fall—affecting school enrollment and funding.
To prevent this from happening, the Health Hero organization will visit schools during the first week in May to provide immunizations. Schools will soon receive lists of students in need of immunizations, along with permission slips (in English and Spanish) which must be returned by Monday, April 3.
