Teacher SLOs: Final data submission remindersAll principals and assistant principals / Deadline: March 24
School leaders should remind all teachers with approved Student Learning Objective (SLO) learning targets to submit final student data by Friday, March 24, to be scored for evaluations. Teachers who now qualify for an exemption from this year’s SLO component should be reminded to submit an exemption request by Friday, March 24.
BTU employees with classroom teacher job titles have one SLO as a component of their 2016-17 Teacher Effectiveness Evaluation. This component makes up 35% of the total evaluation, and every classroom teacher is assumed to be eligible to participate in the process. As noted in the key dates and milestones, teachers who do not complete the SLO process or do not have an approved SLO exemption request in the appropriate electronic system will receive a score of 25 on the SLO component of their 2016-17 evaluation. Teachers should review the resources on TSS or contact their SLO ambassador for assistance.
