• Building relationships through fashion

    High school principals

A fashion club involving students and school police officers may seem like an unlikely pairing, but at several schools, they are proving to be a successful way to merge arts, culture, academics, and positive relationships among school police, students, and the community. School police officers are available to work with your students and staff to create a sustainable student organization. Your school would be paired with a school that has an existing fashion club as a mentor group, with organizational training provided for all club advisors and leaders. All participating schools will have an opportunity to take part in a citywide showcase in spring 2017 to highlight the great work that will take place.

If you feel that your students could benefit from this opportunity, contact Acting Chief Akil Hamm at ahamm@bcps.k12.md.us for more information.
