2016 Kindergarten Readiness Assessment dataAudience: Elementary and elementary/middle principals and assistant principals / Deadline: November 4
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has released individual student reports from the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) administered between August 29 and September 30. Full class reports are also available for download within the teachers’ data collection pages.
These student reports are an MSDE-created tool to share information with families about their students’ readiness for school. MSDE is shipping two pages of unique information for every student who completed the KRA, with a target date of November 4 for delivery. In addition, City Schools is printing two pages of guidance for families, with the same delivery date. Please ensure that teachers receive the printed documents for their students.
This guidance document helps schools communicate with families about the results of the KRA. All kindergarten teachers were offered professional development on October 20 about using KRA data for instructional planning. Teachers who did not attend can view the presentations on the Early Learning page within TSS.
Please note: School- and district-aggregated data have not yet been made available by MSDE. An additional announcement will be made when MSDE releases the data.
