Emergency preparedness drillsAll leaders / Deadline: October 31
All schools are asked to register for the annual Great Southeast ShakeOut Earthquake Drill and to conduct an earthquake drill by Monday, October 31. The attached PowerPoint presentation contains information and links to resources.
There will be no siren or simulation from external sources for this drill. Schools should use routine processes for practicing drills and should inform School Police when drills and alarms are scheduled.
Note: Each school must perform 13 to 16 emergency preparedness drills during the school year. The first semi-annual verification of drills must be uploaded to the Emergency Safety Plans folder in TSS by Friday, December 9.
