• Family and community engagement lead training

    Title I principals and assistant principals / Deadline: October 10

    School-based, Title I FCE leads, principals, parent leaders, SFC chairs, community school coordinators, and designees are invited to attend a professional development session from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, October 14 at the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys to learn about:
    • High impact FCE strategies to support academic achievement 
    • SY16-17 FCE services and supports for Title I schools to improve spending and ensure the effective implementation of parent involvement plans 
    The event will include an opening professional development session with Patti Jo Wilson, a national family and community engagement expert on how to facilitate a robust family academic night. Breakout sessions will be led by FCE specialists from each Community Learning Network. FCE Title I documentation binders and resources will be provided.
