              ICELAND!

                                    This trip will take place in AUGUST of 2017.

    ICELAND ITINERARY:

    Day 1: Fly overnight to Iceland

     

    Day 2: Reykjavik

                -Meet Tour Director at the airport in Reykjavik

                -Tour Reykjavik

                -Visit the Blue Lagoon

                -Visit the National Museum


    Day 3: Hvolsvöllur area

                -Explore the Golden Circle

                -Take an excursion to Thingvellir National Park

                -Take a geology walk

                -Visit Gullfoss waterfall

                -Visit the Geysir geothermal area

                -Learn about geyser cooking

                -Travel to the Hvolsvöllur area

                -Visit a greenhouse powered by geothermal and hydroelectric energy

     

     

     

     

    Day 4: Hvolsvöllur area

    -Take an excursion to Thorsmork Glacier Valley

    -Visit the Thorvaldseyri Farm and learn how the 2010 volcanic eruption affected cattle and wheat production

    -Visit the Seljalandsfoss and Skȯgarfoss waterfalls, two of south Iceland’s most famous natural wonders.

    -Travel to the village of Vik

    -Time to explore Vik or Glacier Walk

     

    Day 5: Reykjavik

                -Take a hike in Reykjadalar valley

    -Visit natural hot streams and geothermal springs

                -Travel to Reykjavik


    Day 6: Reykjavik/Depart for home

                -Take an excursion to Alftanes peninsula

                -See Bessastaður and Lake Kleifarvatn

    -See geothermal activity in the Krĺsuvik geothermal field

                -Visit and bathe in the Blue Lagoon

                -Board your flight for home
