One Card: New Student MTA Program
All middle school principals/assistant principals, high school principals/assistant principals, executive directors of principal support | Deadline: July 15
In the 2016-17 school year, middle and high school students who use the MTA to travel to and from school will have a new, more convenient way to use the bus, subway or Light Rail. Instead of monthly S-Passes, students will have an annual One Card. Answers to frequently asked questions can be found here.
In September to October, schools will produce and give to students the One Card, a new student ID card to use for MTA transportation. Principals can select one of two days for a required orientation and planning session for schools with MTA eligible students. Principals or their One Card designee should attend. Sessions will be held July 6 and 13, 2016.
What to prepare for Orientation and Planning:
Does your school have the CAASS hardware and materials to print student photo IDs?
Orientation and Planning:
Registration for the orientation and planning is now open. Instructions to register for a session can be found here. Attendance at these training sessions is required for Principals or their One Card designee. The available training dates are July 6 and July 13, 2016. All sessions are first come, first serve and once a session is filled, registration for that time slot is closed.
