Migration of District Office email to Office 365
District Office staffIn response to the need for greater stability, functionality and storage, ITD will begin to move all district office based email accounts to cloud based Office 365 beginning on May 12, 2016. The Office 365 email accounts will adhere to the 3-year retention policy EHB, Data/Records Retention Program that was adopted in October 2014. Users that have records stored in email that are older than 3 years that need to be retained, will need to move them to another storage medium such as Office 365 One Drive before the May 2016 migration.
Ahead of the migration, all district office staff with Windows based laptops or desktops need to upgrade Microsoft Office on their computers by Friday, May 6th to utilize the full functionality of office 365.

Technical support staff from ITD will be conducting walkthroughs before the email migration to help ensure you are upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft Office. More information on walkthroughs will be shared with supervisory staff in your office.
Additional Instructions for Staff with district-issued Cell Phones
All district office staff with district-issued cell phones should by Friday, May 6th install Airwatch, an application that ensures continued connectivity after the email migration and that provides an additional layer of security to remotely manage district phones that may be reported as lost or stolen.
