In collaboration with the Baltimore City Health Department’s Office of Youth Violence Prevention, the Mayor’s Office, and several city agencies and community-based organizations, City Schools is partnering to create Youth Violence Prevention Week scheduled for April 2-8. This week is designed to bring awareness to this important issue and assist our youth in finding better ways to resolve conflict, promote peace, and respect themselves and others. Review the schedule of events happening throughout this week. Additionally, there are a number of ways your school community can get involved:

    ·         Participate in an event (i.e., A Walk for Peace on April 2)

    ·         Participate in Wear Orange Day (April 5)

    ·         Have your event included in the citywide Calendar of Events

    ·         Nominate someone for the Baltimorphosis award (Deadline: March 25)

    ·         Conduct a workshop or training session
