• MSA/PARCC professional development

    All principals and assistant principals    |    Deadline: February 12   

    In preparation for the spring 2016 MSA Science and PARCC online administrations, mandatory professional development sessions are now available to support School Test Coordinators (STCs) and Alternate STCs to learn more about the assessments and receive hands-on training to navigate the testing sites. Each school will be responsible for administering these assessments during the following testing windows:
    • MSA Science (Grades 5 and 8): Wednesday, March 2 through Thursday, March 24 
    • PARCC (Grades 3 – 12): The administration window is Wednesday, April 20 through Friday, June 3. The content areas assessed in grades 3-8 are Mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy. The content areas assessed in grades 9-12 are for students in enrolled in Algebra 1, Algebra II, English 10, and English 11. 
    All sessions will be held at the Professional Development Center (2500 E. Northern Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21214) in the morning (9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and afternoon (12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) scheduled by network:
    (9:00-11:30 a.m.)
    (12:30-3:00 p.m.)

    Due to limited spacing, schools are requested to send only two representatives. Participants should bring a fully-charged laptop to their training session. If your STC is unable to attend the assigned session, please email Krishna Miller (K-8) or Ryan Jones (9-12) in the Achievement and Accountability Office.
