• PARCC result resources

    Elementary and elementary/middle school principals and assistant principals  |    Deadline: December 23, January 5  

    In an ongoing effort to support schools and families surrounding the recently released PARCC state results release for grades 3-8 and high school, City Schools is providing resources to share with your school team:

    • This week, all schools will receive PARCC home reports to distribute to students. Please distribute this letter (English | Spanish) with the home reports by Wednesday, December 23. Principals must submit this form to confirm PARCC home reports have been distributed by January 5. For questions, email PARCC@bcps.k12.md.us.

      Please visit City Schools Inside for information for staff and families about PARCC and understanding the score reports.

      Individual student results will be available in the “Standardized Tests” tab in the Student Profile on Datalink. In addition, school- and teacher-level reports will be available in the Report Bank under MSDE Standardized Tests. For questions about your PARCC data, please email Daniel Heller for CLNs 1-7 and Nelson Vasconcelos for CLNs 8-10 in the Achievement and Accountability Office.

    • Principal and school team member work session
      An optional support session for all principals and their school teams is available designed to provide more information and guidance surrounding your school’s PARCC data enabling your staff to help families understand these results. Additionally, a portion of this session is to work with your school’s team to collaboratively strategize how best to use this information in future instruction as well as planning for the 2016-17 school year. Sessions are limited to 35 participants and registration is required. All sessions will be held at PDC (2500 East Northern Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21214).

    • Additional resources for schools and families
      The parent-teacher night scheduled for Tuesday, January 26 is a great opportunity to help families understand their students’ PARCC results and connection with instruction. More information and training opportunities will be available at the districtwide professional development on Monday, January 25. Additionally, more information will be coming soon regarding an online toolkit with resources to help your school’s staff answer PARCC questions from families.
