Safety update and incident reportingAll principals
Please share this letter from Dr. Thornton about student safety and positive school climates with all families by email or by backpacking home with students.If incidents affecting the safety or well-being of students, staff, or other members of the school community occur at your school, please follow these steps:
1. Report all incidents using this form, which must be submitted by close of business on the day of the incident.
2. For serious incidents, contact Chief of School Supports Karl Perry at 443-540-9298 and school police at 410-396-8588 or 410-396-8589.
3. In an emergency, call 911.
4. If reporters contact your school regarding an incident, refer them to City Schools communications team at 443-642-3956 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This procedure should be used as a supplement to your school’s safety plan. Please ensure your school safety plan is up to date and posted, and that all staff are trained on safety procedures for your school.
