    UPDATE: New ID Cards for Dental Network Members

    DHMO members will receive new ID numbers and cards for 2016 due to administrative changes at CareFirst. DHMO benefits will not change. New cards will WILL NOT be received prior to January 1, 2016. Members should continue to use their current cards and customer service information until new cards are received. (Expires: January 31, 2016)

    2015 W2s

    Beginning Friday, January 29, all current employees will be able to print their 2015 W2 accessed through Employee Self Service (click on Employee W2, then click on their 2015 W2). The printed W2’s will be delivered to each school when they reopen. District offices will receive their printed W2s on Friday, January 29. Payroll mailed printed W2’s to all former employees and substitutes on Thursday, January 28.

    Model Cohort 10 Registration Now Open 

    Are you a teacher or related service provider currently on the Professional Pathway who is interested in participating in the Peer Review Process for movement onto the Model Pathway? If so, please complete this short registration survey. You must register to participate in the Peer Review Process for movement to the Model Pathway. Registration for the Spring 2016 cohort will open Tuesday, December 8, 2015 and close on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 (11:59pm). Registration for the Spring 2016 cohort will not be accepted after this window.

    Lead teacher applications are now being accepted

    City Schools and the Baltimore Teachers Union (BTU) are encouraging all BTU professionals on the Model Pathway apply for the Lead Pathway between Monday, December 21, 2015 through Thursday, January 7, 2016. The Lead Pathway provides Model BTU professionals with the opportunity to be a school’s lead in an investment area and collaborate with school leadership. Lead teachers will carry a teaching/service load of 0%-25%, dedicating the remainder of their time in one of the Lead investment areas such as student interventions and instructional strategies around the implementation of the Instructional Framework. Lead teachers will be selected through a competitive application process that begins with completing the online application plus submitting a resume and two professional letters of recommendation.

    First Pay in September - 10 Month Employees and Pay All Year Employees

    Please be aware that 10 month employees will NOT be receiving their first pay of the School Year 2015-16 until September 11. Those currently on Pay All Year will be paid their last School Year 2014-15 pay on August 14 and will not receive another pay until September 11. With the 2015-16 school year starting a week later than in previous years and 2015 having 27 biweekly pay dates, the first pay for the 2015-16 school year will be for the pay period running from August 22 through September 4, with a pay date of September 11, 2015. There will be no pay for the 10 month employees on the last Friday in August as has been the case for the past several years. (Expires: September 11, 2015)
