The purpose of HCIS is to enter, maintain, and secure all Baltimore City Public Schools employee data in the HRMS system and provide critical reports to internal and external organizations.
What We Do:
The HCIS department provides technical support in the administration of the Human Capital, Benefits, and Time Management modules of the Oracle ERP system. The HCIS team implements and maintains system applications, audits system data and ensures policy compliance, monitors and maintains data integrity, maintains system documentation, report writing and analyses, and provides first line end user support. Working in coordination with the Information Technology Department, the HCIS team, conducts requirements analysis and documentation, testing, and deployment of HR related applications, interfaces, and related business processes including enhancements, upgrades and new development of the HCMS and other subsystems. The data and information systems maintained by the HCIS team affect virtually every department and school in Baltimore City Public Schools.
