Title I and Title II SpendingAll principals | Deadline: September 16
Please carefully review the following guidance for Title I and II spending:Resolution of Encumbrances: Each school must resolve all encumbrances appearing on FY14 and FY15 Title I and II funds dated prior to July 1, 2015. [Title I - 4501.14 and 4501.15 and Title II - 4663.14 and 4663.15]. Schools with outstanding FY14 Title I encumbrances were contacted via email and phone with instructions to resolve no later than July 31, 2015. These encumbrances are in the process of being canceled. Any FY14 Title II encumbrances remaining as of September 1, 2015 will be canceled. If the unresolved encumbrance was a valid expense and the bill is submitted after September 15, 2015, you will not be able to use FY14 Title funds as payment. Representatives from the Department of Data Monitoring and Compliance have contacted each school with the list of encumbrances that needed to be addressed.
Final spending of FY15 Title I and II funds: Principal’s Dashboard will be updated by August 17, 2015 to show Title I and Title II funds that are available to be spent by individual schools. Budget amendments are only possible within the 0400 subject category. All funds must be encumbered no later than September 15, 2015. Unspent funds as of September 16, 2015 will be frozen and repurposed.
FY16 Title I OTPS funds: Funds are currently not available for school spending. Schools will be able to access these funds once Title I funds are received by the District. School spending will not be allowed until a school has an approved Title I Plan.
