Interactive Notebook Resources
The purpose of creating and using an Interactive Notebook is to enable students to be creative, independent thinkers and writers in and outside of the classroom. These notebooks should be used in the classroom for class notes as well as for other activities in which students will be asked to express their own ideas and process the information presented in class. These notebooks are very organized and can be used as a study guide. In addition, use of an INB can be used as a strategy to differentiate instruction and the documentation can be viewed as a student portfolio.
These websites offer an introduction to INBs as well as provide suggestions and some foldables.
This website includes an introductory video.
This website also provides examples and information for different content areas.
