• PARCC reminders

All principals  |  Deadline: February 18

The window for the performance-based assessment (PBA) administration of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers runs from March 4 to April 1. In preparation for the administration, schools should complete the following by Wednesday, February 18.

    • Personal Needs Profile (PNP)

All school test coordinators should be in the process of creating a PNP for all students participating in PARCC. The PNP is an Excel file used to gather information about testing conditions, materials, or accessibility features and accommodations that are needed for each student to take a PARCC assessment.

Test coordinators were trained in January on how to complete the PNP, and PNP field definitions and an instruction sheet on accessing, completing, and submitting the PNP are available to assist. For questions, call Darryl Smith in the Achievement and Accountability Office at 410-396-8962.

    • Test schedules

School test coordinators should be using the PARCC scheduling tool in designing schedules that minimize disruption to instruction and maximize the use of technology. The scheduling tool contains pre-populated technology information for each school.

For assistance, download instructions on using the scheduling tool along with information on submitting schedules through eForms. Additional information is available on TSS or by calling Roger Traynham in the Achievement and Accountability Office at 410-396-8962.
